WORKERS COMPENSATION RATES MAY CONTINUE TO RISE

Workers' Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau of California recommended a 4.2 percent overall average increase to pure premium rates for the Jan. 1, 2008. The increase does not include the impact of potential legislation now pending in the legislature which could increase rates significantly. The recommendation was approved a short while ago by Bureau's governing committee.
